The prophetic teachings (Sunah) are considered the second source of the Islamic Sharea just after the Holy Qura'an, and because of this position, scholars and researchers have given them a great attention.
However, the analytical hadith is rather a recent area that deserves some attention.
Here comes my contribution of a research work entitled "The supererogatory (Nawafel) prayers before and after the Friday Congregation Prayer as indicated in Ibn Omar's hadeeth" The research consisted of an introduction, preface and three other sections.
The introduction included: the importance of the topic and the reasons for choosing it, previous studies, the research methodology, and its plan.
The first section tried to project this hadith through some books that already treated this hadith, and then to analyze it in detail in light of the six hooks (the Two Accurate Books and the Four Sunah ones).
The second section included and an introduction to the narrators and following up the references showing the results of this process and its related witty notes.
The third section included an explanation of the hadith through the writings of the scholars.
It included statements of some of their opinions regarding the Nawafel (Voluntary prayers) before and after Friday Prayer, and a statement of the rulings learned from the hadith.
Finally, the conclusion presented the results and recommendations.
